Connecting 4 Business Ltd ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Partner Portal at portal.connecting4business.co.uk. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this Portal.

We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

3. Data We Process About Your Leads and Prospects

When you submit leads or log calls through the Portal, you share personal data about third parties (your leads and prospects). We process this data on your behalf to deliver our business services. You are responsible for ensuring you have a lawful basis (such as legitimate interest or consent) for sharing this data with us.

We may use this data to:

  • Contact the lead or prospect to provide a quotation or our services.
  • Sync records with our CRM systems (including Zoho CRM).
  • Track outcomes for commission and reporting purposes.

5. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Zoho Corporation — our CRM and Campaigns provider. Data is processed under Zoho's data processing addendum.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers — servers located within the UK/EEA.
  • Professional advisers — solicitors, accountants, insurers, where necessary.
  • Law enforcement or regulators — where required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your partner account is active, plus 6 years thereafter for legal and financial record-keeping purposes. Lead and activity data is retained for the same period. You may request earlier deletion subject to any conflicting legal obligations.

7. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of your personal data.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — request deletion of your data where no legal obligation requires us to keep it.
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any right, contact us at service@connecting4business.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

8. Cookies and Tracking

The Portal uses only essential session cookies necessary for authentication and security (e.g. Laravel session, CSRF token). No advertising or analytics cookies are used. These cookies are strictly necessary and do not require your consent.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed password storage, and access controls limiting data to authorised personnel. No system is completely secure; please report any suspected security issue to service@connecting4business.com promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you by email or via a notice in the Portal before material changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
